Review & Swatches: Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip set 2017

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS LIP SET! It took Sephora almost 2 weeks to deliver my order~.~ I purchased this kit on Sephora.com

This lip set includes 15 lipsticks (5 full sizes, 10 sample sizes)

This lip kit retails for USD68 / CAN82 ($254 value). This kit includes:

- Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Vintage 4.5g (full size)

- Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color in Brocade 3.8g (full size)

- Dior Lip Maximizer in pink 001 2ml

These colours are beautiful and even I'm a "natural-looking" person, I think all colours look good on me (maybe except the Touch In Sol one LOL). What I like about this kit is that it has a wide variety of colours, from nude, pink, red, to purple. And there are different finishes from gloss, cream, satin, to matte.

I highly recommend this lip kit coz honestly I wouldn't spend over $30 on a single lipstick, but this kit allows me to try these luxury lipsticks out without breaking my bank. And if you are like me, you would love this kit!

Review & Swatches: ColourPop Golden State of Mind shadow palette

ColourPop released the Golden State of Mind shadow palette about a month ago and I immediately felt in love with it while I saw the pictures online. They are ALL SHIMMER, very glittery, very neutral, the whole palette is just too pretty to look at!! The palette retails for USD26.00 on both Sephora.com and Colourpop.com. Some people say it's overpriced but I think $26 is justifiable although it's not cheap to me.

Now let's look at swatches of the shadow:

Top row, from left to right: Golden Egg, Pay the Piper, Grlfrnd, Zero Clue, Watch Out

Middle row, from left to right: Drizzle, Uptight, Can't Stop, Sparkler, Unsupervised

Bottom row, from left to right: Lust in Time, Mind Tricks, Wing Woman, Heads or Tales, Tinker Time

The shadows do not feel buttery n creamy. They feel rough when I swatched them, but they are very pigmented and I didn't even have to build up the colours to get the pigmentation as shown in the pictures above. And I must say that they look gorgeous on the eyes. The shadows are also very long-lasting even without primer.

Overall Rating: 9 out of 10

1 point is deducted coz of the size of the palette. I thought it'd be bigger but in person it's lil bigger than the size of my hand.

Review: Sephora Favorites Glow For it Highlighting Kit (USD40)

Let's talk about a rather new product that I purchased from Sephora. This is their Sephora Favorites Glow For It Highlighting Kit. There are 7 products in the kit, which includes:

- Nudestix all over face color in Illumi-naughty 1.7g

- Milk Makeup highlighter in Lit 6g

- Tarte amazonian clay 12-hour highlighter in Exposed 2.2g

- Benefit Cosmetics high beam 10ml (Full Size)

- Bobbi Brown mini shimmer brick in Bronze 4g

- Cover Fx custom enhancer drops in Moonlight 2.8ml

- Becca shimmering skin perfector pressed in Moonstone 2.4g

This set retails for USD40.00 / CAN48.00, and it states it has USD106 value.

I like this kit a lot because it has high value but only retails for $40. Although a few products actually look quite small in person, I think it's justifiable based on the price. Also, if you think about the product itself being highlighter, you'd know that you don't need to put on too much product every time, and I think these highlighters will last me a whole year or even longer!

One thing that I really like about this kit is that it not only includes products that have a more natural finish, but also those that have a metallic finish or so-called "blinding" effect, so it's good for both day time & night out.

Good for: Light to Medium skin tone (I'm light to medium with yellow undertone)

My overall rating to this kit: 10/10 (Yes it is!)
